Copyright for CCPS Educators

What can and can't I do with software?

Can
Can't
  • Use programs for which the school has a license
  • Make an archival copy of software
  • Use school equipment to make illegal copies
  • Load a single program on multiple computers

The CCPS Acceptable Use policy precludes you from bringing in outside software to load on any CCPS machine. This is management issue, not a copyright issue. Copyright forbids loading illegal software on any machine or software with a single use license on more than one machine.
